Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer, and vocalist. She's attractive and talented actress who has helped numerous Asian actors to achieve success in Hollywood. After several appearances on popular television series and movies, she gained fame when she was cast as a character in Ally McBeal legal comedy where she played Ling Woo. The fame she gained from the show was translated into film roles such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. After that, she delivered a stunning role in Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese crime lord O Ren Ishii. In the same time frame, she played the lead in several flops at the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter. For animated films such as Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell as well as others, she voiced prominent characters. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small-screen characters, failed to achieve much success. Southland's critically acclaimed police series, Southland and a recurring part in the show helped Liu establish herself the status of an established actor.
