Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a popular American after winning American Idol's debut season. This win catapulted Clarkson into fame and earned her a contract with RCA Records 19 Recordings, along with 'S Recordings. Since then, she has released a number of Studio albums. 3 of these topped the US Billboard 200 chart, however, others narrowly missed the mark. She is one of the biggest artists that come out of The American Idol series. The singer began to play around with themes and songs after her fame grew. For her uniqueness and vocal prowess, she received critical acclaim as well as various prizes. She has been the most notable winner of three times the Grammy Award three times. Apart from her music career she has appeared in films as well as television programs. She also co-wrote the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved with various charitable organizations.
