Harry Edward Styles - also called Harry Styles - is a British musician and songwriter. Harry Styles has been credited as composing songs to The One Direction band. He is the son of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on February 1, 1994 in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School in which he started his own musical band with 3 schoolmates, which he called White Eskimo. Their outstanding performances allowed them to take home the Battle of Bands 2009. Although he has always been fascinated by the arts, he hoping to be an attorney or physiotherapist. As a worker at the city's baker Harry Styles managed to provide for his family. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition where he sang the Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. This is why his group was forced to break up. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who suggested Harry Styles to be part a future group called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. The group performed hits like My Life Would Suffer Without You from Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the contenders for the award. However they were placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles' group didn't place, but Cowell nevertheless paid $2 million for One Direction for them to agree to a contract with Syco.
