Amy Smart is a former American actress and model. Amy Smart was was raised in California, United States of America. She began modelling in Italy. She made her acting debut in the year 1996 with The TV production Her Costly Affair. From there to starring in a minor role in the feature film Starship Troopers she struggled very for a long time. Amy struggled to make the shift into acting since models were not considered as skilled actors and typically were given smaller parts. Amy was never discouraged. Her first roles were in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Amy later stepped into lead parts in 2005's love story Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy got her first recognition for her work in the last decade. She continued with major films such as the Crank series starring Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was a well loved recurring character.
