Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Born and brought up in California USA she started her modelling professional career in Italy. In 1996 she made her first appearance as an actress in the TV film Her Costly Affair. The struggle she had to get a part on Starship Troopers, a film that featured mostly minor roles, was a gruelling battle. It was difficult for her to transition to acting as actors were never considered skilled actors and generally were offered less parts. Amy didn't give up, and eventually she landed bigger roles in the films Varsity Blues and The 70s. In 2005, Amy took part in the leading role of the romance comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for her efforts over the past 10 years. Amy was in several big movies in the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she also played a recurring role in the Shameless series.
